To keep order - here are a few basic policies for this board. These will be considered community guidelines.

First and foremost: This is a neutral discussion board dealing with the topic of host parenting young people participating in a foreign exchange program. We are not associated with any agency, organization, group, or religious sector. There is no prerequisites to belong here, however our guidelines will be followed.

1. Everyone must register.

2. E-mail addresses will not be available to anyone, so no direct contact may be made. If someone wishes to post their address in a message, that is up to them.

3. No advertising or spam is allowed. Violation of this rule will result in all posts being removed and the member being banned from the area.

4. No posts consisting of profanity or sexual content will be allowed.

5. No one is to post last names of students or families or organization representatives. (Note: If a Representative of an Organization wishes to post their full name, that is fine provided they are the member doing it).
There may be an exception to posting names if it is a matter of public record.

6. No address should ever be posted beyond a city and state or country.

7. Agencies and Organizations that wish to use this as a recruiting tool may only do so under the area designated for that purpose.

10. Any direct harassment or inflammatory posts towards another member will be removed.

12. This is a support and informational board. Topics of interest and concern are most welcome. Threads should stay on topic. Creating a general thread for the sole purpose of soliciting negative issues involving an agency or organization will be removed. However, if a topic involves a situation that was created by a representative of an organization it will remain (be it positive or negative in content) provided the thread stays on the specific topic and no last names are posted.

13. Members identities will never be available to other members unless they choose so.
